Botanical Textures Kintsugi inspired card

Check out my Kintsugi inspired card featuring the Botanical Textures Designer Series Paper and a sentiment from the Sentimental Framing Stamp Set.

This black, white and gold card is so striking and it was so easy to add the gold edge with Gold embossing powder!

If you've never seen Kintsugi, it is Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending cracks and edges with lacquer mixed with gold, silver and platinum.

I rubbed Versmark over the torn edge of the Designer Series Paper and then sprinkled with gold embossing powder and heated to melt for my card!

Instructions

Cut Basic Black cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
Cut Gold Foil 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Cut 5 strips of Designer Series Paper 1 1/2" x 5 1/4"
Tear down one side towards you to get the white centre showing.
Rub Versamark down torn edge.
Sprinkle with Gold Embossing Powder and heat to melt.
Adhere the strips to the Basic White cardstock
Adhere to Gold Foil
Adhere to card base.
Cut Basic White cardstock 1 1/4" x 4 1/8"
Stamp sentiment on Basic White cardstock using Versamark
Sprinkle with Gold Embossing Powder and heat to melt.
Cut Gold Foil 1 1/2" x 4 1/8"
Adhere sentiment layer to Gold Foil
Adhere across middle of card base.
Adhere Gold embellishment
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp sentiment on Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
Adhere to inside of card.
