Stamping With Friends Blog Hop - Retiring Products from the Sep to Dec Mini Catalogue

Time for a Stamping With Friends Blog Hop! We are ending the year with a hop featuring retiring products from the Sep to Dec Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue.

One of my favourite is the Sweetest Star Bundle with this very whimsical Santa. I made a gift card holder inspired by Mo Dickie, who demonstrated this type of holder on a recent Canada Inks Up! Team Gathering. It's such a great way to be able to make any card into a gift card holder!

How cute is this!

Instructions

Cut Real Red cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
Cut on the score line from the top down to 2 3/4" on card base. Turn 90 degrees and cut across to the edge.
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp snow flakes across top using Real Red ink.
Adhere to the inside of the card.
Cut Real Red cardstock 2 1/2" x 4"
Emboss using Painted Texture embossing folder.
Adhere to the front of the card base.
Stamp Santa image on Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
Colour using Stampin' Blends - Real Red, Wild Wheat, Basic Black and Petal Pink.
Punch out.
Punch out 2 circles from Real Red cardstock using 2 3/8" Circle Punch.
Wrap twine around hand 2-3 times. Pinch in middle and remove.
Adhere to 1 of the Real Red Circles
Adhere Santa over twine using Dimensionals.
Adhere to the front of the card so that it sticks up above cut line.
Adhere 2nd Real Red circle to the back of the front circle aligned at top.
Cut Designer Series Paper 2 1/2" x 4"
Punch a partial circle in top using 2 3/8" Circle Punch.
Adhere to the back of the card front using Tear n' Tape along the 2 sides and bottom. This is your gift card holder).
Colour Santa's beard with Wink of Stella.
Cut Basic White cardstock 1/2" x 4"
Stamp sentiment on Basic White using Real Red ink.
Cut into 3 pieces
Adhere to card base using Mini Dimensionals
Adhere Peppermint embellishments.
