Technique Tuesday Blog Hop - September 2024 - Stained Glass
Time for another Technique Tuesday Blog Hop. This month our theme is "Stained Glass". I decided to play with the Enamel Effects on a Window Sheet to create a Faux Stained Glass Effect with the Sweetest Star Bundle from the Stampin' Up! Sept to Dec Mini Catalogue.
Check out these cute cut outs that can be removed from the card and used as ornaments on your tree! How fun and easy to make!
I used Window Sheets to create mine, but you can use the plastic pieces that come in the PhotoPolymer Clear Stamps. You'll need the Enamel Effects to create the soldering and colouring.
So cute! What my video to see how easy it was to make them. One tip is to make sure you let them dry for at least 12 hours!

Instructions
- Cut Thick Basic White cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
- Cut Real Red cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
- Cut Basic White cardstock 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"
- Emboss using Forever Plaid Embossing Folder.
- Adhere to Real Red cardstock
- Adhere to card base
- Stamp image on Window Sheet using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
- Use Black Enamel Effect to trace outline.
- Colour insides of image using Enamel Effects.
- Let dry completely before punching out using Star Punch.
- Punch small hole in top using Hole Punch or Take your Pick Piercing Tool
- Put Baker's Twine through hole and tie a bow.
- Use Blending Brush to add some Real Red to Basic White piece of card base.
- Adhere stained glass ornaments using Dimensionals.
- Cut Basic White cardstock 1/2" x 4"
- Stamp sentiment using Real Red ink
- Cut into 3 pieces
- Adhere to card base using Dimensionals.
- Adhere Peppermint Embellishments
- Stamp snow flakes on inside of card using Real Red ink.

Christmas Stamp a Stack
Join me each month starting in July for my 2024 Christmas Stamp-a-Stack. We'll make 8 cards each month (2 of 4 designs) so you'll have a supply of cards on hand for all occasions.
Cost is $40 (local) or $45 (by mail) each month or free with a minimum of a $45 order (before taxes and shipping).
Sign up for the full 5 months and you'll receive $25 in product of your choice.
Two options - in person or by mail.
- In Person - class will be held on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 10am.
- By mail - Zoom will be held on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 1pm. The class will be recorded and available via YouTube if you can't join the class. You will substitute stamp sets or add the stampset/dies to your order.
Each month there will be an option to purchase the stampset or bundle. Costs will be based on product used.
The September kit will use the Sweetest Star Stamp Set - from the September to December Mini Catalogue!
Monthly Card Club
I'm excited to be offering a Monthly Card Club either In Person or by mail. Each month I will select a stamp set or bundle to feature.
This month the club features the Humble Home from the Stampin' Up! September to December Mini Catalogue.
