Sweet Peas - Colouring in the Negative

Have you ever thought of colouring in the negative space between images instead of colouring in the images? I had fun with this technique using the Sweet Peas Stamp Set from the Stampin' Up! 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue. It gives a cool look to your card!

For my card I used Shy Shamrock for most of the colouring with a hint of Wild Wheat around one side of peas to brighten in up. Isn't this a great card!

Instructions

Cut Shy Shamrock cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
Cut Wild Wheat cardstock 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5"
Stamp pea images randomly on Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
Colour on the outside of each image on the right side using Wild Wheat Stampin' Blend
Colour all around the outside of the images using the Light Shy Shamrock Stampin' Blend.
Trim cardstock to 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"
Adhere to the Wild Wheat cardtock
Adhere to the card base.
Cut Basic White cardstock 1/2" x 3 5/8"
Stamp sentiment on Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
Adhere to card base using Dimensionals
Adhere Shy Shamrock Shimmer Gems
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp pea image in bottom right corner using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
Adhere to inside of card.

Christmas Stamp a Stack

Join me each month starting in July for my 2024 Christmas Stamp-a-Stack. We'll make 8 cards each month (2 of 4 designs) so you'll have a supply of cards on hand for all occasions.

Cost is $40 (local) or $45 (by mail) each month or free with a minimum of a $45 order (before taxes and shipping).

Two options - in person or by mail.

In Person - class will be held on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 10am.

By mail - Zoom will be held on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 1pm. The class will be recorded and available via YouTube if you can't join the class. You will substitute stamp sets or add the stampset/dies to your order.

Each month there will be an option to purchase the stampset or bundle. Costs will be based on product used.

Monthly Card Club

I'm excited to be offering a Monthly Card Club either In Person or by mail. Each month I will select a stamp set or bundle to feature.
