Stamping With Friends Blog Hop - Colour Combination

Today I'm hopping with the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop. The theme for this hop is a colour challenge - we were to use 4 of the 5 colours of Blueberry Bushel, Shy Shamrock, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Fresh Freesia.

I have to admit this was a challenge for me (no pun intended!). Not really my colour palette, but I'm pleased with the outcome! It's always good to challenge ourselves!

What would you create with this image and colour challenge?

I used the Regal Flora Bundle and Regal Winter Designer Series Paper. The Regal Flora Suite in the 2024 Stampin' Up! Sep to Dec Mini is so beautiful and my card proves that it's not just for the holidays! Check out my bright and cheery card that I made using the following sketch.

Instructions

Cut Blueberry Bushel cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
Cut Distressed Regal Specialty Paper 4" x 5 1/4" and adhere to card base
Cut Designer Series Paper 2" x 4" and adhere to centre of card base.
Cut Basic White cardstock 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"
Cut 2 pieces of Blueberry Bushel cardstock 1/4" x 2 1/2" and 2 pieces 1/4" x 3"
Adhere the Basic White cardstock to the middle of the card.
Adhere the 2 shorter pieces of Blueberry Bushel to two opposite sides.
Adhere the other 2 longer pieces to the other sides.
Stamp 2 stems on Basic White cardstock using Shy Shamrock ink
Stamp 1 flower trio on Basic White cardstock using Flirty Flamingo ink (stamped off).
Stamp 1 flower on Basic White cardstock using Daffodil Delight ink (stamped off) and one in Fresh Freesia ink (stamped off).
Cut all stamped images out using dies.
Adhere all die cuts to the centre of the card using Dimensionals
Stamp sentiment on Basic White cardstock using Shy Shamrock ink and cut out using Paper Snips
Adhere to card base using Dimensionals
Adhere embellishments
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp flower in bottom right corner using Daffodil Delight ink (stamped off)
Adhere to inside of card.

Christmas Stamp a Stack

Join me each month starting in July for my 2024 Christmas Stamp-a-Stack. We'll make 8 cards each month (2 of 4 designs) so you'll have a supply of cards on hand for all occasions.

Cost is $40 (local) or $45 (by mail) each month or free with a minimum of a $45 order (before taxes and shipping).

Two options - in person or by mail.

In Person - class will be held on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 10am.

By mail - Zoom will be held on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 1pm. The class will be recorded and available via YouTube if you can't join the class. You will substitute stamp sets or add the stampset/dies to your order.

Each month there will be an option to purchase the stampset or bundle. Costs will be based on product used.

The September kit will use the Sweetest Star Stamp Set - from the September to December Mini Catalogue!

Monthly Card Club

I'm excited to be offering a Monthly Card Club either In Person or by mail. Each month I will select a stamp set or bundle to feature.

This month the club features the Season of Elegance from the Stampin' Up! September to December Mini Catalogue.
