Stampin' Up! Hearts & Hugs Masking

Have you seen the adorable Hearts & Hugs Stamp Set? I love these little critters! And it's a perfect stamp set to do some masking. I call this card "Group Hug!"

Masking is easy to do with the Stampin' Up! Masking Paper. Read on to get some tips on how I made this card including the use of the Color Lifter!

Instructions

Cut Misty Moonlight cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
Cut Designer Series Paper 4" x 5 1/4"
Adhere to card base
Cut postage rectangle from Basic White cardstock using 2nd largest die.
Stamp badgers in centre of Basic White cardstock rectangle using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
Stamp badgers on Masking Paper using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
Cut out using Paper Snips - you want to get as close to the edge of the image as possible.
Remove some of the stickiness from the Masking Paper by rubbing it on your sleeve or pants.
Stick onto badgers on cardstock - don't press down hard!
Stamp hamster on the left and mouse on the right both overlapped slightly with the badgers.
Gently remove the Masking Paper.
Colour the images using Stampin' Blends - Crumb Cake for the Hamster, Pebbled Path for the Badgers and Smoky Slate for the mouse. Bubble Bath for the ears. Melon Mambo for the heart.
I used the Color Lifter to remove some of the Pebbled Path on the badgers head.
Cut out 5 hearts from Melon Mambo cardstock using Die.
Adhere to card base using Glue Dots.
Cut Misty Moonlight cardstock 3/8" x 1 1/2".
Stamp sentiment using Misty Moonlight ink.
Adhere to card base using Mini Dimensionals.
Adhere Smoky Slate Pearls.
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Adhere 2 hearts in bottom right corner using Glue Dots.

Christmas Stamp a Stack

Join me each month starting in July for my 2024 Christmas Stamp-a-Stack. We'll make 8 cards each month (2 of 4 designs) so you'll have a supply of cards on hand for all occasions.

Cost is $40 (local) or $45 (by mail) each month or free with a minimum of a $45 order (before taxes and shipping).

Two options - in person or by mail.

In Person - class will be held on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 10am.

By mail - Zoom will be held on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 1pm. The class will be recorded and available via YouTube if you can't join the class. You will substitute stamp sets or add the stampset/dies to your order.

Each month there will be an option to purchase the stampset or bundle. Costs will be based on product used.

Monthly Card Club

I'm excited to be offering a Monthly Card Club either In Person or by mail. Each month I will select a stamp set or bundle to feature.
