Festive Friday #164 - Summer Olympics

It's time for another Festive Friday Challenge! Every second Friday we post a challenge for you with a specific theme and an Inspo List of 10 items to choose from to create your project. We encourage you to create a project based on the theme and Inspo List and then post it using at least 3 items from the inspiration list.

Your goal is to simply use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project and link up! #festivefridaychallenge At Festive Friday, you do not need to actually celebrate the occasion. I hope you’ll make a card, scrapbook page or 3-D project and join us. You don’t need a blog to enter Festive Friday. Check out this link on how you can play along with this challenge. This week’s challenge FF #164 - Summer Olympics

For my card featuring the new Sophisticated Sled Bundle I used gold, silver, bronze (I cheated a bit and used copper) and metallic embellishments. I love how this turned out don't you!

Instructions

Cut Early Espresso cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card case.
Cut Gold Foil 4" x 5 1/4"
Cut Country Woods Designer Series Paper 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"
Adhere to Gold Foil
Adhere to card base
Cut out sled runners from Textured Copper Specialty Paper
Cut sled from Early Espresso cardstock
Adhere to sled runners using Glue Dots rolled into smaller dots
Adhere to card base
Cut out 2 boughs from Old Olive cardstock using Die
Adhere to top of sled using Glue Dots.
Cut out skates from Very Vanilla cardstock
Cut laces and blades from Silver Foil.
Adhere blades to skates and insert laces into slit in skates. Adhere on back using a Dimensional
Adhere skates to sled using the Dimensional.
Cut 2 strands of Linen Thread and tie a bow.
Adhere to the top of the sled using a Glue Dot.
Stamp sentiment using Versamark on Early Espresso cardstock.
Sprinkle with Gold embossing powder.
Heat to melt
Cut out using Paper Snips.
Adhere to card base using Dimensionals
Adhere Gold Metallic Gems
Cut Very Vanilla cardstock 4" x 5 1/4".
Cut Designer Series Paper 1/2" x 5 1/4"
Adhere to Very Vanilla cardstock
Adhere to inside of card.

Christmas Stamp a Stack

Join me each month starting in July for my 2024 Christmas Stamp-a-Stack. We'll make 8 cards each month (2 of 4 designs) so you'll have a supply of cards on hand for all occasions.

Cost is $40 (local) or $45 (by mail) each month or free with a minimum of a $45 order (before taxes and shipping).

Two options - in person or by mail.

In Person - class will be held on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 10am.

By mail - Zoom will be held on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 1pm. The class will be recorded and available via YouTube if you can't join the class. You will substitute stamp sets or add the stampset/dies to your order.

Each month there will be an option to purchase the stampset or bundle. Costs will be based on product used.

The August kit will use the Filled With Cheer Stamp Set - a new Online Exclusive!

Monthly Card Club

I'm excited to be offering a Monthly Card Club either In Person or by mail. Each month I will select a stamp set or bundle to feature.

The In Person classes will be held on the last Sunday of each month from 10am to 12noon or 1-3pm. Space will be limited to 4 people per class.
