Technique Tuesday Blog Hop - WhiteWash Technique
Time for another Technique Tuesday Blog Hop. This month our theme is White Wash. I did a really easy version of whitewash to create some moody clouds for my airplane card. So easy and I love the effect!
For this technique you need White Craft Ink and you thin it down using water. Use a Water Painter to colour or white wash over cardstock - I used Night of Navy. It creates really moody clouds when you cut the cardstock using cloud dies.Instructions
- Cut Thick Basic White cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold and burnish on card base using Bone Folder to form card base
- Thin down White Craft Ink with water and then use Water Painter to wash over a piece of Night of Navy cardstock.
- Let dry.
- Cut out 3 clouds and propellers from whitewashed cardstock using Dies
- Cut plane from Basic White and Night of Navy cardstock using Dies
- Adhere plane pieces together
- Adhere propellers to plane
- Adhere to Basic White cardstock using Dimensionals
- Adhere clouds above and below
- Stamp sentiment on Basic White cardstock using Night of Navy ink
- Cut end off
- Cut piece of white washed cardstock 1/2" x 4"
- Adhere sentiment to cardstock using Mini Dimensionals and trim ends (one end straight and one end tag shaped)
- Adhere to card base
- Tie a small bow using White Baker's Twine and adhere to the end of the sentiment using a Glue Dot
- Adhere embellishments
- Stamp image on inside of card using Night of Navy ink.
You can find all of the supplies for this card in my Online Store.
