Creativity Abounds Blog Hop - February 2024 - Fun Folds

Time for another Creativity Abounds Blog Hop! We are a group of very keen Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from all around the world who are coming together to share our creative ideas with you. We are happy that you can join us and hope that we can inspire you to make creations of your own. You may be starting here or you may have come from someone else's blog - either way there is a list at the end of this post to help you move around all the different blogs and get many amazing ideas. This month we are sharing projects featuring Fun Fold projects. Oh my gosh, the projects in our monthly tutorial are amazing and I can't wait to see all of the projects in our blog hop! I made a Cascading Pleats card (thanks Susan Campfield for this amazing fold!) using the Lighter than Air Suite. So adorable!

Instructions

Cut Azure Afternoon cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 1 1/16", 2 1/8", 3 3/16" and 4 1/4" along long side.
Turn and cut 3/4" down from top from edge to 3rd score line. Cut diagonally from the 3rd scoreline to the top of the 4th scoreline. (Watch the video for instructions on how to do this)
Cut 3/4" down from that cut line to the first score line.
Cut diagonally from the 1st scoreline to the top of the 2nd score line.
Fold and burnish on scoreline in mountain, valley, mountain, valley configuration.
Cut Designer Series Paper 4" x 5 1/4" and adhere to inside of card.
Cut Azure Afternoon cardstock 2 3/4" x 4" and adhere to the top flap of the card - aligned with left, bottom and top of the flap.
Cut Designer Series Paper 2 1/2" x 3 3/4" and adhere to Azure Afternoon cardstock (front)
Cut Azure Afternoon 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" and adhere to the second flap of the card - aligned with left, bottom and top of the flap.
Cut Designer Series Paper 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" and adhere to Azure Afternoon cardstock (middle)
Cut large balloon from Designer Series Paper using Die
Cut scallop decoration, basket and basket harness from Azure Afternoon cardstock
Adhere basket to basket harness and basket harness to balloon
Adhere scallop balloon decoration to balloon
Adhere to front flap of card using Dimensionals
Stamp sentiment on Basic White cardstock using Azure Afternoon ink
Cut into two pieces and adhere to card base using Dimensionals
Adhere Azure Afternoon Dots
Cut 2 small balloons from Designer Series Paper
Cut 2 flags, 2 basket harnesses and 2 baskets from Azure Afternoon
Adhere to small balloons
Adhere to second flap and inside of card using Dimensionals
Cut Basic White cardstock 2 1/2" x 4 1/2"
Stamp sentiment using Azure Afternoon ink
Adhere on inside of card so it doesn't show when card is closed.

Techniques Across the Border

Join Lorraine and I and learn (or learn more) about a new technique each month. Our class will be held via Zoom on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 9:30am to 11:30am Pacific. We will explore the technique and make 4 projects in each class.

There are 2 options for each class:

Option 1 - Class Cost $45 and includes 4 projects and a selection of supplies you need to make the projects

Option 2 - If you have the products for the technique - Class Cost FREE with an order of at least $45 before shipping and taxes

Saturday, June 15 - 9:30 - 11:30am Pacific - Embossing

You need Embossing Powder and Versamark for this class - Class Cost FREE with an order of at least $45 before shipping and taxes

Registration for each class closes on the last Wednesday of the month.

If you can't join the class live, you will get a copy of the recorded video.

Monthly Card Club

I'm excited to be offering a Monthly Card Club either In Person or by mail. Each month I will select a stamp set or bundle to feature. You will make 3 cards with envelopes and receive 1/2 package of Designer Series Paper, package of Embellishments and a roll of ribbon or embossing folder. Cost is $45 In Person (or local pick up) and $50 mailed.

This month the club features the new A Little Latte Suite which is an Online Exclusive being released in March. Add the stamp set to your order for an additional $34.81. Add the bundle (stamp set and dies) and your class is free!

The In Person classes will be held on the last Sunday of each month from 10am to 12noon or 1-3pm. Space will be limited to 4 people per class.
