Share It Sunday Blog Hop - June 2023
It's time for another Share It Sunday Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world and we are sharing our projects with you as part of this blog hop. There is no theme for our blog hop today.
Today I'm sharing I card I created using the "smooshing technique" on a recent Live that I did. I love creating cards that are kind of messy! It's fun to play and not really know what the card is going to look like. This background was created using Lemon Lolly, Tahitian Tide and Coastal Cabana Re-inkers.
How fun is this! I added some words cut out using the Wanted to Say Dies, ribbon and embellishments to finish off my card.
Instructions
- Cut Basic Black cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4". Fold and burnish using Bone Folder on scoreline to form card base.
- Cut Lemon Lime Twist cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
- Cut Watercolor Paper 4"x 5 1/4" - cut 2 pieces as you will have enough ink to create 2 backgrounds.
- Drop ink onto Wax Paper - Coastal Cabana, Lemon Lolly and Tahitian Tide
- Spritz with water
- Press Watercolor Paper into colors. Repeat with second piece of Watercolor Paper
- Let dry or dry using Heat Tool
- Trim to 3 3/4" x 5"
- Spritz the watercolor paper using brush end of Basic Black Stampin' Blend
- Adhere to Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock using Tear & Tape Adhesive (helps to prevent warping)
- Tie ribbon around piece and tie a bow
- Adhere to card base
- Adhere Adhesive Sheet to back of Basic Black cardstock
- Cut out words using Die
- Adhere to card base
- Adhere embellishments
- Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
- Adhere strip of colour you cut off to the Basic White cardstock
- Adhere to the inside of the card.
You can find all of the supplies for this card in my Online Store.
