Festive Friday #126 - Chinese New Year
It's time for another Festive Friday Challenge! - first one of 2023! Every second Friday we post a challenge for you with a specific theme and an Inspo List of 10 items to choose from to create your project. We encourage you to create a project based on the theme and Inspo List and then post it using at least 3 items from the inspiration list.
This week’s challenge FF #126 - Chinese New Year
Your goal is to simply use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project and link up! #festivefridaychallenge At Festive Friday, you do not need to actually celebrate the occasion. I hope you’ll make a card, scrapbook page or 3-D project and join us. You don’t need a blog to enter Festive Friday. Check out this link on how you can play along with this challenge. Check out this pretty card I created featuring a new bundle - Gingko Branch from the upcoming Stampin' Up! January to April Mini Catalogue. If you follow me, you may recognize the Ginkgo Leave on my Blog Header. I love this leaf and when I saw this bundle, I knew it was going to be added to my Stash!
I used red, gold, sequins and heat emboss from the Inspo List for my card.

Instructions
- Cut Real Red cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4". Fold and burnish on scoreline to form card base.
- Stamp large ginkgo leaf on card base using Real Red ink
- Cut Real Red cardstock 2" x 5 1/4"
- Emboss using Cane Embossing Folder
- Adhere to card base about 1/4" from left edge.
- Cut out large Ginkgo leaf from Distressed Gold Specialty Paper using Die
- Adhere to card base using Mini Dimensionals
- Stamp sentiment on Distressed Gold Specialty Paper using Versamark.
- Sprinkle with Black Embossing Powder and heat to melt.
- Cut out using Paper Snips
- Adhere to bottom of card base using Mini Dimensionals.
- Adhere Gold Sequins
- Cut Very Vanilla cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
- Stamp small leaf in bottom right corner using Real Red ink
- Adhere to the inside of the card

Monthly Card Club
I'm excited to be offering a Monthly Card Club either In Person or by mail. Each month I will select a stamp set or bundle to feature. You will make 3 cards with envelopes and receive 1/2 package of Designer Series Paper, package of Embellishments and a roll of ribbon. Cost is $45 In Person (or local pick up) and $50 mailed.
You can join my club monthly. If you join for 6 consecutive months and get a swag bag valued at $25 from me as a gift.
The In Person classes will be held on the last Sunday of each month from 10am to 12noon or 1-3pm. Space will be limited to 3 people per class and masks will be mandatory (as well as any other requirements announced by the Provincial Health Officer).

Melva this is just stunning! The shadow stamping, textured panel and the gorgeous added texture that comes from the gold paper makes these ginko leaves a real standout. Beautiful!
