Fitting Florets Faux Step Card

Today I'm sharing another one of my favourite fancy folds - the Faux Step Card. I used the Fitting Florets Bundle and Designer Series Paper on this Thank You card. Love the combination of Balmy Blue and Evening Evergreen.

The Faux Step card is so easy to make - it has become a staple in my "fancy fold" library. No more cutting and scoring with the Paper Trimmer and if you're like me, getting wrong! This card is made with 2 pieces of cardstock adhered together to give the same look. Check it out!

Instructions

Cut Thick Basic White cardstock 4 1/4" x 8 1/2". Score at 1", 2" and 5 1/4"
Fold and burnish on scorelines with Bone Folder - start with 1" score and fold in Mountain, Valley, Mountain configuration.
Cut Thick Basic White cardstock 3" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder.
Adhere to card base - in the front on the 1" flap and on the 3 1/4" flap on the back
Cut Balmy Blue cardstock 2 3/4" x 5 1/4"
Cut Designer Series Paper 2 1/2" x 5"
Adhere the Designer Series Paper to the Balmy Blue cardstock
Adhere to the card base.
Cut out largest Oval from Basic White cardstock and adhere outside ring to card base
Cut out a second large oval from Vellum cardstock and adhere inside oval shape to card base.
Cut out second largest oval from Basic White cardstock. S
Stamp sentiment on oval using Evening Evergreen ink
Adhere to card base using Dimensionals
Cut out sprig from Balmy Blue cardstock
Cut out 2 leaves from Evening Evergreen cardstock
Adhere sprig and leaves on bottom left side of oval using Glue Dots
Cut 8" of ribbon and then cut in half.
Tie a bow from the 2 pieces of ribbon
Adhere over spring and leaves using a Glue Dot
Adhere Balmy Blue Embellishments

The In Person classes will be held on the last Sunday of each month from 10am to 12noon or 1-3pm. Space will be limited to 3 people per class and masks will be mandatory (as well as any other requirements announced by the Provincial Health Officer).
