Neutrals with a Pop of Colour - Torn Paper Technique

Have you noticed the torn paper technique in cards on Social Media? They are so much fun. I decided to try the technique using the Perfectly Pencilled Designer Series Paper. I shared this card as a part of the Neutrals with a Pop of Colour InstaHop that went live today. You can check out the post on my Instagram account.

The technique is so easy!

Instructions

Cut Thick Basic White card stock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4". Fold on score line to form card base.
Cut Polished Pink card stock 4" x 5 1/4"
Cut Designer Series Paper 3 3/4" x 5"
Cut Basic Black card stock 3 3/4" x 5"
Stamp sentiment using Versamark about 1/2" from top right corner and sprinkle with White Embossing Powder. Heat to melt.
Tear the cardstock about 2" and 1" from bottom right side about 3/4" across
Tear about 2" of the strip off
Use Take Your Pick Tool or Piercing Tool to roll the torn strip back. Adhere roll using a Glue Dot or Liquid Glue.
Adhere Designer Series Paper behind Basic Black card stock
Adhere to Polished Pink cardstock
Wrap ribbon around left side and tie a bow
Adhere to card base
Adhere Heart Pearls
Cut Designer Series Paper 1" x 5 1/2"
Adhere to inside of the card

Here's another version of the card using Basic White cardstock and a black piece of Designer Series Paper. For this one I coloured the DSP using Polished Pink Stampin' Blends.

Monthly Card Club

Starting in October, you will be able to join my Monthly Card Club either In Person or by mail. Each month I will select a stamp set or bundle to feature. You will make 3 cards with envelopes and receive 1/2 package of Designer Series Paper, package of Embellishments and a roll of ribbon. Cost is $45 In Person (or local pick up) and $50 mailed.
