International Highlights Winners Blog Hop - June 2022

I’m so excited to be featured in the the International Highlights Top Ten Winners Blog Hop hosted by Kylie Bertucci. I was selected to participate in this hop by finishing #7 in the June 2022 International Highlights. Thank you to everyone who voted for my Hues of Happiness Card!

My card today is another card featuring the Stampin' Up! Happiness Abounds Bundle. I love this bundle and created this card showing off an easy way to create watercolour backgrounds for the stamped images. It's fun to dig out the watercolor paper and Water Painters and create such pretty background images. You can check out my YouTubeVideo on how I created this card.

Instructions

Cut Polished Pink card stock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold on score line to form card base.
Cut Evening Evergreen card stock 4" x 5 1/4 and adhere to card base
Cut Basic White card stock 3 3/4" x 5"
Cut out background pattern using Die - cut out twice top and bottom
Adhere to card base.
Cut 2 pieces of Watercolor paper 3 1/2" x 5"
Mix 1 drop of Polished Pink ink (from Re-inker) with water and colour Watercolor Paper using largest Water Painter. Add different strengths of ink across paper.
Repeat on second piece of Watercolor Paper using Evening Evergreen ink
Let dry completely. You can use your Heat Tool to speed up the process
Stamp 2 large flowers on Polished Pink paper and 2 of each of the leaf images on the Evening Evergreen paper using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
Cut out using Dies
Cut Polished Pink card stock 3 3/4" x 1" and cut top and bottom edge with border die
Stamp sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
Adhere to card base
Adhere large flowers using Dimensionals
Adhere leaves using Glue Dots
Adhere Glossy Dot Embellishments
Cut Basic White card stock 4" x 5 1/4
Stamp flower in bottom right corner using Tuxedo Black Memento ink
Adhere to inside of card.
