Stamping With Friends - Mini Album or Loaded Envelope Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stamping With Friends February Blog Hop as we share what projects we are currently working on to inspire you. You will be visiting with our Design Team Members as they share their wonderful projects and ideas to help spark your creativity. This month our theme is Mini Albums or Loaded Envelopes. I was so excited and I've had my eye on doing a Loaded Envelope for awhile. I have to admit, the envelope is easy. Deciding what to put in it was the hardest part!

I used the Waves of the Ocean Suite for my envelope. This is a new suite that was just released by Stampin' Up! The Bundle will be in the upcoming Annual Catalogue, but the Designer Series Paper, Foil Sheets and Rhinestones are only available while supplies last through May 2nd! They are all stunning - you don't want to wait to add this to your stash!

Check this out! I'm sure there are other ways to make an envelope, but I used the measurements for a 12" x 12" piece of Designer Series Paper from The Scottish Crafter.

Instructions

Envelope

Score Designer Series Paper at 3 1/4" from both edges and 3 3/4" from the bottom edge.
Fold the 2 side pieces in and fold the corner of the front piece of DSP down on each side. Adhere the corners closed using a Brad.
Adhere the edges of the front together using Tear & Tape.
Adhere the bottom together using Tear & Tape.
Fold the bottom up and adhere the sides using Tear & Tape.
You will now have an envelop with a pocket at the back and a smaller pocket in front.
Cut Foil strip 1" x 12". Score at 3 1/4" and 8 3/4".
Adhere to the top of the bottom front flap folding towards the back. Adhere closed at the back.
Adhere 3 rhinestones to Foil on left hand side.

Tag

Cut tag using Tailor Made Tag die from Pacific Point card stock
Cut out reinforcement piece from Coastal Cabana Foil
Adhere to the hole in the tag
Stamp Pelican image on Basic White card stock and cut out using Die
Adhere to tag using Dimensionals
Cut out 2 birds and a cloud from Basic White card stock using Die.
Adhere to the top of the tag. Trim off excess of Cloud.
Cut out waves from Coastal Cabana card stock
Adhere to the bottom of the tag and over the pelican layer.
Stamp sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
Cut out using Die
Adhere to the tag.
Cut 5" of ribbon and insert through hole
Cut 3" of ribbon and tie around ribbon. Trim
Adhere tag to bottom pocket

Rhinestones

Cut Pacific Point card stock 1 3/4" x 4 3/4"
Cut Basic White card stock 1 1/2" x 4 1/2"
Cut out strip of rhinestones that is 1 1/2" x 4 1/2"
Adhere to Basic White card stock piece using Stampin' Seal
Adhere to Pacific Point card stock

Post It Note Cover

Cut Coastal Cabana card stock 3 1/4" x 6 1/2"
Score at 3 1/8" and 3 3/8"
Fold on score lines
Adhere 3" x 3" Post It notes to Coastal Cabana Cardstock - on back and on top.
Cut Designer Series Paper 2 7/8" x 3"
Adhere to front
Wrap ribbon around front layer and tie a bow

Tutorial Bundle for the Ukraine

In response to the ongoing crisis, the Creativity Abounds Team has decided to create a Ukraine Fundraising Card Making Tutorial Bundle.

Who Are we?

The Creativity Abounds Design Team is a group of 13 Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world. We come together every month to create a Tutorial Bundle, hold a blog hop and also host regular online Stamp Camps.

All 13 members of the Creativity Abounds Design Team quickly expressed their interest in helping to bring together this special, additional Tutorial Bundle. As this newsletter is sent, work is underway around the world to get cards designed and tutorials written and compiled.

We didn’t want to wait to start raising money though, because this is timely and help is needed now. Therefore the bundle is up for sale now. You can start to order and pay for yours and the tutorial will follow as quickly as we can bring it together. We envision it will be with you by the week beginning 21st March!

The theme for the projects is blue/yellow. I am excited to see what ideas everyone comes up with. I know they are all going to inspire you in your card making – and of course you will be able to change the colour of the projects to suit other occasions.

All the proceeds from the sale of these tutorials will be donated to the International Committee of the Red Cross as a contribution from the crafting community to the work they are carrying out with the people of Ukraine.
