The theme this month is a colour challenge using Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Night of Navy, Pacific Point and Bermuda Bay. Such a pretty combination! I was immediately inspired by the beautiful picture with these gorgeous colours to create a tropical background. I think I'm wishing I was sitting on a beach somewhere warm and tropical!

Here's my card. Blending Brushes are amazing and I used them to create this pretty background. Then I added a Palm Die Cut from the Palm Dies and a stamp from the On the Horizon stamp set to finish off my tropical card.

Instructions

Cut Night of Navy card stock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold on score line to form card base.
Cut Bermuda Bay card stock 4" x 5 1/4"
Cut Basic White card stock 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and colour using Blending Brushes with Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Night of Navy, Pacific Point and Bermuda Bay ink. Check out my YouTube video for tips and tricks to creating a background using Blending Brushes.
Trim background piece to 3 3/4" x 5"
Cut out palm tree from Night of Navy card stock
Adhere to card base and trim off ends that are hanging over the edge.
Adhere to Bermuda Bay card stock.
Adhere to card base
Stamp sentiment in bottom right corner using Night of Navy Ink
Adhere 3 Waves Rhinestones (these amazing rhinestones will be available March 2nd with the On the Waves pre-release!)
