Canada Inks Up! Blog Hop - Fancy Folds

It's time for another Canada Inks Up! Team Blog Hop and this month we're sharing Fancy Fold cards.  These are my favourite cards to make and I had fun making this one for sure.  One of my Ink and Paper Stampers Team Members, Katherine Charron, taught us how to make this on my Monday night free Zoom Card Class.  It's a modification on a "Z-fold" card - this time with the "Z" in the inside of the card.

Instructions

1. Cut Balmy Blue card stock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2".
2. Fold on score line to form card base
3. Cut 30" of ribbon and wrap around card - adhere to the front and back using a Glue Dot or small amount of Stampin' Seal.
4. Cut Night of Navy card stock 4" x 5 1/4" and adhere to card base
5. Cut Balmy Blue card stock 3 3/4" x 5"
6. Stamp images using Balmy Blue ink on Balmy Blue card stock
7. Adhere to card base.
8. Cut out snowflake window using Die from Basic White card stock cut 1 3/4" x 3 1/4"
9. Adhere to left side of card base using Multipurpose Adhesive Glue
10. Punch out Postage Stamp from Basic White card stock using Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch.
11. Stamp swirls on punched out piece using Balmy Blue ink (stamped off).
12. Stamp sentiment using Night of Navy ink
13. Adhere to card base using Dimensionals.
14. Cut Night of Navy card stock 1 3/4" x 11"
15. Score at 2 3/4", 5 1/2" and 8 1/4"
16. Fold on score line so that you form a "W" with the middle score line forming a mountain fold and the 2 other score lines forming valley folds.  See my Video Tutorial for more information on how to do that
17. Adhere the Night of Navy piece to the inside of the card base with adhesive on the right and left edge only.
18. Cut 4 pieces of Night of Navy card stock 2 1/4" x 2 3/4"
19. Cut 2 pieces of Designer Series Paper 2" x 2 1/2"
20. Cut 2 pieces Basic White card stock 2" x 2 1/2"
21. Adhere Designer Series Paper to the Night of Navy card stock
22. Adhere to the Night of Navy strip in the inside of the card base with the bottom of the piece aligned with the bottom of the strip - one piece gets adhere 1/4" from left edge and one piece gets adhere 1/4" from the middle score line
23. Stamp swirl image using Balmy Blue card stock on the Basic White card stock pieces.
24. Adhere to the Night of Navy card stock
25. Adhere to the Night of Navy strip in the inside of the card base with the top of the piece aligned with the top of the strip - one piece gets adhere 1/4" from left edge and one piece gets adhere 1/4" from the middle score line
26. Stamp sentiment using Night of Navy ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock.
27. Cut out using Paper Snips and adhere to one of the panels using Dimensionals.
28. Cut out 4 snow flakes from Basic White card stock.
29. Adhere 3 snowflakes to inside of card and one to the card front
30. Adhere Blue Gems
