Sparkle of the Season - Colour Challenge
I recently participated in a training event and we were challenged to make a card using a specific combination of colours. I have to admit that this colour combination is completely out of my comfort zone! It may not be your "cup of tea", but I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome.
First, here was the colour combination we were challenged to use:
Now, here's my card. I used the Sparkle of the Season Bundle along with the Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Paper and a pop of Black & Gingham Ribbon. Sparkle of the Season is the featured stamp set for my Monthly Card Kit for October - Your Creativity Awaits (more information below)

Instructions
- Cut Bermuda Bay card stock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold on score line to form card base.
- Cut Basic Black card stock 4" x 5 1/4" and adhere to card base using Stampin' Seal.
- Cut Basic White card stock 3 3/4" x 5" and emboss using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere to card base using Stampin' Seal.
- Cut out 2 wreaths - 1 from Designer Series Paper and 1 from Blackberry Bliss card stock.
- Adhere to card base - one on top of another using Glue Dots.
- Cut Basic White card stock 1/2" x 3"
- Stamp sentiment using Blackberry Bliss ink.
- Cut Bermuda Bay card stock 3/4" x 3 1/4"
- Adhere sentiment to Bermuda Bay piece using Dimensionals.
- Adhere to card base using Dimensionals.
- Tie a small bow from ribbon. Adhere to wreath using a Glue Dot.

Your Creative Escapes Retreat - Holiday Edition
We're so excited to be host our Your Creative Escapes Retreat - Holiday Edition.
While we'd all like to be able to get together to stamp, that just isn't possible yet. The retreat will be held on Friday, October 22nd from 7-9pm and on Saturday, October 23rd from 8am to 8pm! The event will be hosted on Zoom as well as streamed to a private Facebook Group for the Make and Take Sessions.
The cost is $105 CDN which includes:
- TWO stamp sets - Delivering Cheer (from the July to December Mini) and Tidings and Trimmings (from the Annual Catalogue)
- Package of Brushed Metallic Dots
- 6 Make and Take projects (includes the supplies, but you provide the adhesives and inks) and PDF instructions
- Pillow gift
- Prizes throughout the day
Deadline for sign up is October 6th at 11:59pm Pacific.
There will be a raffle (tickets are extra) for additional prizes at the end of the day.
