International Highlights Winners Hop - Pansy Petals Pop Up
I’m so excited to be featured in the the International Highlights Top Ten Winners Blog Hop hosted by Kylie Bertucci. I was selected to participate in this hop by finishing in the top ten of the May 2021 International Highlights. Thank you to everyone who voted for my card! The theme for the International Blog Highlights is "Thank You"! You can check out the card Pansy Petal Trifold Shutter Card I shared as part of the May Hop that was in the top ten!
Today's card features the Pansy Petals Product Suite too - this time I'm sharing a pop up card. I love the combination of Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Gorgeous Grape! This pop-up card is so easy to make! Thanks to Laura Buechler who showed us this fold on a recent Vancouver Island Stampin' Up! Demonstrator event.
Don't you love the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper! It is so pretty!
Instructions
- Cut Soft Succulent cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and fold in half to form card base.
- Cut Evening Evergreen cardstock 3 3/4" x 5"
- Cut Designer Series Paper 3 5/8" x 4 7/8" and adhere to the Evening Evergreen piece using Stampin' Seal.
- Cut 6" piece of Fresh Freesia ribbon and adhere about 1 1/2" from bottom using Stampin' Seal.
- Adhere to the card base using Stampin' Seal.
- Stamp sentiment using Evening Evergreen ink on Basic White cardstock and cut out using smallest Scalloped Contour die.
- Adhere to card base using Dimensionals.
- Cut out pieces for Pansy from Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Fresh Freesia cardstock (check out my Youtube Video to get instructions on how to put the pansy together)
- Adhere to card base using Dimensionals.
- Cut out pieces for a leaf from Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. Adhere pieces together using Multipurpose Adhesive Glue.
- Adhere to the back of the pansy using a Glue Dot.
- Add a Bumblebee Trinket using a Glue Dot
- Cut out Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4" and adhere to the inside of the card using Stampin' Seal.
- Cut Soft Succulent cardstock 5" x 5" and score in half. Turn 90 degrees and score in half again. Now score from 1 point to the other.
- Fold on each of the score lines and use Bone Folder to burnish
- Fold forward the points with the scorelines. You will end up with a 2 1/2" square when it is folded (check out my Youtube Video to see how this is folded)
- Adhere to the inside of the card base - apply adhesive on the back of the 2 1/2" square and place up against the fold line of the card base with the point towards the bottom.
- Add adhesive to the top of the 2 1/2" square and fold the front of the card down to adhere the pieces. When you open the card, the square will now pop open.
- Cut 2 pieces of DSP 2 1/4" x 2 1/4". Cut both in half from one point to another. These pieces adhere to the left and right squares in the pop up - 1 piece above the score and the other piece below the score.
- Cut out 2 pieces of Basic White cardstock 2 1/4" x 2 1/4"
- Stamp sentiment on one piece using Evening Evergreen ink. Remember that this piece will be adhered as a diamond when you are stamping (see picture below). Adhere to the bottom square.
- Stamp pansy on other piece using Gorgeous Grape and Fresh Freesia. Stamp leaves in Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent.
