Blogging Friends Blog Hop - Back to School Bash
Welcome to the Blogging Friends Blog Hop. This is my first time that I have joined this Hop. It is still in the initiation stages. As the months progress we will have more very creative people join. This month's theme is "Back to School" and we were challenged to create a card and a 3D project. Today you will "hop" with us and check out the amazing projects created by these very talented demonstrators. You are currently visiting Melva Peters from British Columbia, Canada.
.I decided to use the Beautiful World Bundle with the globe and combine it with Playful Alphabets and Well Written dies - both popped up using the Adhesive Foam Sheets.
First, here's my card.
Instructions for Card
- Cut Thick Whisper White cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and fold in half to form card base.
- Cut Pacific Point cardstock 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
- Cut Real Red cardstock 4" x 5 1/4" and adhere to the Pacific Point cardstock using Stampin' Seal.
- Adhere to the card base using Stampin' Seal.
- Cut Whisper White cardstock 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" and emboss using the Tasteful Texture Embossing Folder. Adhere to the cardbase using Stampin' Seal.
- Adhere a strip of Adhesive Foam Sheet to the back of Real Red cardstock and Pacific Point cardstock. You can cut the size that you need so you don't waste the foam sheets.
- Cut out "welcome" from the Real Red piece and "BACK" from Pacific Point.
- Stamp a globe using Pacific Point ink on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. Cut out using circle die.
- Cut out globe stand from Real Red cardstock.
- Adhere the globe stand to the globe using a small amount of Multipurpose Adhesive Glue
- Adhere to the right hand side of cardbase using Dimensionals - Mini Dimensionals for the bottom and large Dimensionals for the globe.
- Adhere the welcome sentiment to the middle left of the card by peeling off the back.
- Adhere the "BACK" sentiment below by peeling off the back of each letter.
- Adhere rhinestones to the card base.
Now, for my 3D Project. I created a treat holder which I filled with pencils, a gel pen and some chocolate. Perfect for the first day of school.
Instructions for Treat Holder
- Cut Pacific Point cardstock 8 1/2" x 4" and score 1/2" from each side and bottom. Cut along side score lines 3" down and cut off this piece.
- Cut along bottom score line 1/2" from side and 1/2" from bottom to remove square. Repeat on other side
- Cut Pacific Point cardstock 5 1/2" x 4" and score 1/2" from each side and bottom.
- Adhere the smaller piece to the larger piece using Tear and Tape Adhesive.
- Cut Whisper White cardstock 6" x 2 7/8" and 4 3/4" x 2 3/4". Emboss both using Tasteful Texture embossing folder.
- Adhere larger piece to the back of the treat holder using Stampin' Seal.
- Cut Real Red cardstock 2 7/8" x 4 7/8".
- Adhere smaller piece of embossed Whisper White to Real Red piece using Stampin' Seal.
- Stamp globe on Whisper White cardstock using Pacific Point ink.
- Adhere to treat holder using Stampin' Seal.
- Cut out globe holder from Real Red cardstock.
- Adhere to treat holder using Stampin' Seal.
- Stamp sentiment on Whisper White cardstock using Pacific Point ink and fussy cut out.
