The weather outside is frightful, but my craft room was so delightful....

We had a terrible storm on the south coast of British Columbia this past weekend with winds up to 90 km/hour. At one point during the weekend we have 500,000 people without power and some of those are still in the dark over 48 hours later! My thoughts go out to all of those people who are trying to clean up from the storm! We were lucky and didn't have a power outage but there were trees down around us.
I took the opportunity on Saturday to play in my craft room. I'm so excited that the Holiday Catalogue is available tomorrow for you to order from! I'm not sure if it was the storm that inspired me or if it was just the fact that the products are so amazing!
I want to share with you one of my creations. This card uses the Cozy Christmas stamp set and the Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper. I wasn't so sure I liked this paper when I first saw it at Convention, but now it just gives me a very warm feeling - takes me back to my childhood and the memory of the wrapping paper I used to see under the tree.
For this paper, I used a card base of Whisper White (cut 8 1/2" by 5 1/2" and scored in half) and layered on Real Red Card stock (cut 4" x 5 1/4") and the DSP (cut 3 3/4" x 5").

The banner is a 2 1/2" x 5 1/2" strip of Real Red and a 2 1/4" x 5 1/4" strip of Whisper White. I cut a tail in both ends. On the Whisper White I stamped the Merry Little Christmas sentiment from Cozy Christmas in Real Red. I adhered these two pieces together and stapled a 5" piece of the Real Red Pompom Trim to it.
From the DSP I fussy cut a Santa image. I love this paper - the images are positioned in such a way that you can cut out individual images without worrying about cutting through others. I used a Dimensional to adhere this to the banner.
Finally I used dimensional to adhere the banner to the card base.
I love how this turned out! It was so easy and quick with only a little bit of fussy cutting :)
You can order the supplies to make this card (and many others) from the Holiday Catalogue as of tomorrow! Let me know if you haven't received a catalogue and I'll be sure to get one to you. The catalogue will be online tomorrow - check out this link (the catalogue isn't there now, but will be there tomorrow).
