This card was made by my friend Diane Evans - she's used the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series paper and Accessories Kit and the Decorative Dots Embossing folder as well as some new product from the Occasions Catalogue - Scalloped Tag Punch.  I love how she made a pocket for the tag.
My friend Alison Solven also used the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series paper and the Decorative Dots Embossing folder for this card.  She also used the Blessed Easter stamp from the Occasions Catalogue (Alison carefully cut the sentiment off the card so that she can use it for lots of occasions!)

Share Saturday - Part 2 - Everything that Glitters IS gold

There seems to be a bit of a trend here - posting on Saturdays.  I'm not sure this will be a continuing trend - I definitely would like to post more often. 

The Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalogue has lots of gold products and I love all of them.  As I've mentioned in past blogs, I participate in a monthly swap with other demonstrators in Canada.  This is my swap card for January.  It seemed like a perfect time for a Valentine's Card.  Lots of gold embossing powder used in the making of this card!

I always find it difficult to come up with sympathy cards and am always sad when I need to make one.  Today I needed to make a sympathy card for a dear friend.  I decided to CASE (mean "copy and share everything") a card designed by my friend Farah Byrnes - Farah is known for loving black and white with a pop of red and in this case she used Basic Grey and Cherry Cobbler and White. She used the Love and Sympathy Stampset (Item 122797) from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.
Here's my CASE of Farah's card - I used the Simply Sketched stampset (a hostess set in the Annual Catalogue - Item 129672) and added a thin border of Cherry Cobbler.

It's a beautiful day in Vancouver - a real treat for us in January as we mostly get grey weather and rain. 

I decided to make a nice bright "springy" card for my God Daughter's birthday at the end of the month.  I receive the following card from a fellow demonstrator Diane Evans and just loved how she used the new Scalloped Tag Topper Punch (Item 133324) from Stampin' Up! Occasions catalogue to add a removable book mark to the card.  She also used Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper and ribbon from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack that will be available starting January 28th in the new Sale-a-Bration catalogue - spend $60 and you can choose 1 item for FREE!
I don't have the DSP or the Accessory Pack (must remember to add them to my Wishlist!) so I changed it up with paper from the Watercolor Wonder DSP (Item 132994) and the Gold Baker's Twine (Item 132975) from the Occasions Catalogue.  The sentiment is from the Perfect Pennants Stamp set (Item 133230).  I love how this turned out and hope my God Daughter will too.  Thanks Diane for the inspiration!

Stampin' Up! Spring Occasions Catalogue

Hi everyone,
I'm so excited to tell you that the Spring Occasions Catalogue is now live!  You can download a PDF copy from my Online Store by clicking here or contact me to get a copy or browse in my Online Store.  I love this new catalogue and all of the new products.  I've been playing with some of the new products and I love all of them.

This card is made by my friend Colleen Vassos using the Happy Watercolor Stampset (Item 133191) and embossed in gold
My friend Elaine Paget used the Vivid Vases stamp set (Item 133818) and the Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper (Item 132995).  It's hard to see in the picture, but she also used Crystal Effects to make the vases look full of water!
