Digital Shares and Free Downloads

Tuesday, 27 November 2012

I've been spending time lately working on a PhotoBook for each of my sisters from our trip to New York City in September.  We had such a good time and it was fun to remember some of the things we saw and the laughs we had.

It's a great time to try digital scrapbooking or card making.  My Digital Studio 2 is now 50% off until tomorrow.  Don't miss out.  The updated version of the program is amazing and so easy to use.  Each week, Stampin' Up! puts out new digital downloads that you can purchase.

Today's downloads include a FREE download.  Wow!  how can you lose!

Here are some of the pages from the NYC Photobook.  I used the Fan Fair Designer Template which made it really easy to add in the pictures.  I made some changes by adding additional photos to a page as well as some additional embellishments.  It was also really easy to add in more pages - we took lots of pictures.

If you're interested in learning more about MDS2, contact me.  I'd love to introduce you to digital scrapbooking!

Happy stamping, especially digitally!

Christmas Card Sneak Peek

Thursday, 15 November 2012

I mentioned in my last post that I had finished my Christmas cards, well almost.  My husband and I are spending Christmas with family in Calgary this year and I decided I needed some extra special cards to take with me.  These easel cards are inspired by Robin Merriman. You can put a battery powered tea light behind and enjoy the glow.

I changed it up a bit and used a textured embossing folder for the front and added a layer of champagne glimmer paper.  The inserts for both the top layer and the glimmer paper are cut using 2 different sizes of the Labels Collection Framelits (Item 125598).  I used the Evergreen Stampset (Item 127973) for the vellum image and a stamp from the Greetings of the Season set (Item 128033)

I can't decide if I like the card better in Early Espresso or Gumball Green. Guess I'll make both!

I can't wait to share these cards with my family.

How are you doing with your Christmas cards?  Why not gather some friends together and have a party to get a start on the cards.  I have a Christmas Card Class available - you can make 5 beautiful cards for $25.  Contact me if you are interested, I have dates available.

Happy stamping!

Missing in Action

Monday, 12 November 2012

A week has passed since I posted.  Last week was my week to spend for work in Regina, SK.  It's definitely winter there although what little snow they had when I got there was gone by Monday.  Unfortunately the Canadian prairies got hit with quite a storm starting in Alberta and finally reaching Regina on Friday.  Wouldn't you know it, that was the day I was coming home.

The snow was just starting at 8am when I headed to work and I took this picture from the office window about 9am.

The snow continued through the day and of course, by the time I was supposed to get on a flight to come home, there were many delays.  My flight was able to land so I was able to leave, but it was 2 hours late.  Thanks to snowy weather in Calgary I managed to catch my flight home despite the delay.  Was good to get home to Vancouver where it was lovely and sunny on Saturday.

My god daughter and her boyfriend arrive from England today.  I haven't seen her for about 4 years so I'm really looking forward to spending some time together.

I worked on my Christmas cards yesterday and will post a sneek-peek in the next couple of days!  Have you started yours yet?  Don't wait - maybe get your friends together and host a Christmas Card Class.  What a great way to get a start on them.  Contact me to find out how!

What a great way to celebrate a Birthday!

Sunday, 4 November 2012

Last night I had a great time sharing some creative time with some friends celebrating one of their birthdays.  They decided that they didn't want to go out to dinner like they always do, and with the horrible rain we had in Vancouver yesterday, it was good to stay in.  There was good food, a warm fire, a little wine and lots of laughs.

This is one of the cards we made last night.  I love the Bloomin with Kindness stampset.  It's so versatile!  If you love the flower image, it's also available as a single stamp for only $8.95 (as clear mount only)

The ladies were so excited that we're going to have another class to make Christmas cards in the next few weeks.  I can't wait!

If you're interested in getting together with friends to celebrate a birthday or another special event or just want to get together, let me know.  I'll help you plan the perfect event.

Happy stamping,
