Happy Easter
Even though I haven't been blogging on a regular basis, I have been busy creating. I belong to Beta Sigma Phi sorority and for the past year I have been City Council President. I will be giving each of my executive a set of coasters, some tea and a glass magnet all wrapped in a set of boxes that Pam Thurber showed us how to make at Leadership. Stay tuned for pictures - I'm just putting the finishing touches on the coasters.
In the mean time, it's Easter and I have family coming for dinner tomorrow night. I thought I would make a little something for each of them so here's what I came up with. I learned to make the "bags" in a Big Shot Club with my upline Alison - I love the combinations of paper you can use and it's so easy with the Fancy Favor Bigz XL Die (Item 115965). I'm still using the Everyday Enchantment DSP from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue (I love this paper and am very sad to see it go!)
For this card, I've used the Easter Blossoms stampset that was available in last years Occasions mini along with the Twitterpated DSP from this years Occasions mini and our in colours - Blushing Bride and Wisteria Wonder. Of course a few pearls and ruffled ribbon to embellish.
Now, for my husband! It's hard to do a masculine card when you want to use spring colours and ribbons and pearls - it's just that time of year, but not for him! So I decided to make a pinwheel - seemed spring like, but also a little masculine. Again with the Everyday Enchantment DSP and an In Colour brad. I think he'll like it.
I promise to post pictures of all of my coasters and boxes once I have them finished.
Happy Easter everyone and thanks for stopping by!
