International Highlights Blog Hop - March 2022

I'm excited to participate again in Kylie's Monthly International Blog Highlights for March.

The theme is "Thank You".

I am loving the new Waves of the Ocean Products just released by Stampin' Up! and used them to create this pretty Bendi Fancy Fold Card. These cards look like they are complicated, but they really aren't! Check out this pretty ocean scene! My favourite is the pelican! It takes me back to the amazing vacations in Mexico and sitting on the beach sipping on a margarita and nibbling on Coconut Shrimp! Yum!!!

Instructions

Cut Pacific Point card stock 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". Score at 2 3/4"
Cut 2 pieces of Coastal Cabana Foil 2 5/8" x 4 1/8". Adhere to Pacific Point card stock on each side of the score line.
Cut 2 pieces of Designer Series Paper 2 1/2" x 4". Adhere to Pacific Point card stock on each side of the score line.
Cut Pacific Point card stock 2" x 4 1/2". Score at 1/2", 2 1/4" and 4"
Cut 2 pieces of Coastal Cabana Foil 1 5/8" x 1 7/8". Adhere to Pacific Point card stock on each side of score line.
Cut 2 pieces of Designer Series Paper 1 1/2" x 1 3/4". Adhere to Pacific Point card stock on each side of the score line.
Fold 1/2" flaps backwards and adhere to the card base with middle score line aligned with the score line on the base and about 3/4" from bottom.
Cut Pacific Point card stock 1 1/4" x 6 1/2". Score at 1/2" and 6".
Fold on score line with flaps facing back and adhere to the bottom of the card.
Cut Coastal Cabana Foil 1 1/8" x 5 3/8". Adhere to Pacific Point card stock piece.
Cut Designer Series Paper 1" x 5 1/4". Adhere to Pacific Point card stock piece.
Cut out 3 clouds and 3 birds using dies from Basic White card stock
Adhere to card base.
Stamp pelican image on Basic White cards stock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
Cut out using Die and adhere to the middle insert using Dimensionals.
Cut out 2 large waves - one from Silver Foil and 1 from Coastal Cabana Foil
Adhere to the bottom left edge of card base
Cut out 3 waves from Pacific Point Foil - adhere one to the Pelican image and 2 to the large waves.
Stamp sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento in on a scrap of Basic White card stock
Cut out using Paper Snips
Adhere to card base.
Adhere 3 rhinestones

Tutorial Bundle for the Ukraine

In response to the ongoing crisis, the Creativity Abounds Team has decided to create a Ukraine Fundraising Card Making Tutorial Bundle.

Who Are we?

The Creativity Abounds Design Team is a group of 13 Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world. We come together every month to create a Tutorial Bundle, hold a blog hop and also host regular online Stamp Camps.

All 13 members of the Creativity Abounds Design Team quickly expressed their interest in helping to bring together this special, additional Tutorial Bundle. As this newsletter is sent, work is underway around the world to get cards designed and tutorials written and compiled.

We didn’t want to wait to start raising money though, because this is timely and help is needed now. Therefore the bundle is up for sale now. You can start to order and pay for yours and the tutorial will follow as quickly as we can bring it together. We envision it will be with you by the week beginning 21st March!

The theme for the projects is blue/yellow. I am excited to see what ideas everyone comes up with. I know they are all going to inspire you in your card making – and of course you will be able to change the colour of the projects to suit other occasions.

All the proceeds from the sale of these tutorials will be donated to the International Committee of the Red Cross as a contribution from the crafting community to the work they are carrying out with the people of Ukraine.
